CT Scan and More Tests

My dad will be going in for a CT scan on Monday and blood work and other tests on Tuesday at U of M Hospital.
We will know more after he has all these tests. I am praying that God works a miracle and I know you all are as well.
Thanks so much for all the love and support you have shown us already! I cannot believe how many friends and family we have! You all have called, emailed or left comments, and it is much appreciated.

Thanks to you all.
Please continue to pray.

With a grateful heart,
Kendra

An Urgent Prayer Request

Some of you know, some of you don't, so here's the news.
My dad had a mole removed from his nose this past week...his doctor thought it was a mild cancer, not something that would spread, etc.
Turns out, it is large cell lymphoma. A very aggresive cancer, treated with chemotherapy and other medications.
We are in the waiting game now...not sure when I will have more news, but I am asking everyone to PLEASE pray...this is such a blow to our family!

Kelsey's First Day of School

Kelsey was so excited to start school!
She loves it, too!
She has a special friend already. She talks about "Olibia" everyday.
I'm looking forward to my first parent/teacher conference so that I know how she is doing academically.
Isn't she a cutie?

Merry's First Day of School

I know that these pictures are a bit late, but I've been so busy!
Merry is loving school this year, although there is a little girl in the class that seems to enjoy antagonizing the other girls. We are in the process of dealing with that.
My schedule is so crazy because the girls go to school on opposite days and in the middle of the afternoon to boot!
I love their teachers and their school, though, so I wouldn't change a thing.
Isn't Merry radiant in this picture?

Sisters

I love this picture. It really shows how close the girls are. Yes, they fight, but mostly they just love playing together. Best friends for life.

The Dead Zoo

Scott has a friend that calls Cabella's the Dead Zoo. Here we are at the Dead Zoo. We actually drove an hour to get there, but the girls love going. The place is full of stuffed animals...there's even an elephant and a lion.
I love this picture of the four of us.

Grampy and His Girls

Here are the girls with my dad. They had been "fixing" his hair for him, and stopped to pose for a picture. Notice the hair clips in the front of his hair.

32 Candles

Scott just celebrated his 32nd birthday. His only requests were that he wanted to stay home ALL DAY LONG and he wanted 32 candles stuck in CUPCAKES. So...that's what I did.
Spelling his name out was a surprise. He didn't request that.

Let's Have Church

Zach just turned two, and he got this nifty drum kit for his birthday. He and Merry decided to have church after opening his gifts. They were singing a swinging version of "Holy, Holy, Holy".
Definitly pentecostal to the core.

Lefty

This kid is amazing! He shoots the basketball with either hand, but usually with his left. And...he makes it most of the time! He ended up with the basketball hoop, two footballs, and a soccer set. Definitly a boy.

Drummer Boy

My brother-in-law is a drummer. A good one. And Zach has already picked up a LOT from his daddy.
He hits those cymbals with all his might. After just a few minutes of playing with his drum kit, he had dented up his drumsticks like a pro. Isn't he cute?

Grammy and Her Girls

Here are the girls with my mom. Isn't my mom beautiful? She glows. I love her smile, and I love it that the older I get the more people tell me that I look like her. She had a whopper of a migraine in this picture, and she still looked beautiful!

New Jersey

We recently took a trip to New Jersey to visit Scott's folks, and here are a few pics from that.

We took a trip to the seashore to visit a clown convention. (Out of respect to Scott, I didn't post any clown pictures.) While there, we walked down the boardwalk to the arcade, rode the carousel, and ate some yummy boardwalk food.

We also went to Merry's all-time favorite restaurant, a Japanese hibachi steakhouse.
Merry spends her whole time there, flirting with the cook. She LOVES the chef. And both girls love the food. They eat and eat and eat whenever we go there. As you can see by the photo, they've become quite proficient with the kids' chopsticks. They usually refuse to eat with forks when we eat hibachi.

Grammy Lynn bought them those dazzling princess dresses, and they wore them to Medieval Times and got their picture taken with the King and Princess. The Green Knight threw them carnations, and they sort of stole the show.

It was a wonderful trip.

Sisterly Love

I took these photos today before we went to church. They girls were thrilled to be in their new dresses and hats from Grammy Lynn. So thrilled that they couldn't stop hugging each other!
Aren't they adorable?
It reminds me of a poem my dad used to quote to Katie and me:

There was a little girl
Who had a little curl
Right in the middle of her forehead
And when she was good
She was very, very good
But when she was bad
She was horrid

Today they were very, very good.

Asthma Season

As you can see from the photos below, asthma season is in full swing here in the Lynn household.
Unfortunately both my girls have childhood asthma, which we are hoping they outgrow.
Here they are, watching a movie while having their breathing treatments.
Generally, they are good for their treatments, as long as there is a movie on.
It takes me at least half an hour to give them each two treatments, and I'm supposed to give them up to three a day.
Its going to be a loooong winter.

Our Little Architect

Today, during church, I gave Merry a crayon and a piece of paper to color on. This is what she came up with.
Her "house".

Now tell me something. Isn't that good for a four-year old?
She actually pointed out those rooms that are labeled to me, and guess what? That is just about exactly the layout of our house! Okay, there are a FEW too many lines drawn, but hey, what can you expect from a four-year old?

Oh, by the way, I drew Chloe. Merry's not THAT good!
