Memorial Day Post

Today, Sunday, Merry did a remarkable thing for a five-year-old. She led our entire congregation in the Pledge of Allegiance and then sang a solo, a capella version of "God Bless America". I was so proud of her. She wasn't nervous at all. She just stood up straight and spoke/sang right into the microphone.
I've included the audio of her today.
I hope you all enjoy.

God bless America, and a special prayer goes out for all our troops this Memorial Day.

Wonderfully done. That's pretty remarkable for a 5 year old. The apple didn't seem to fall far from the tree did it?
Thanks for remembering our soldiers.
